The Outcome Is Yet To Be Determined
That’s right. Right now, whatever it is that you’re dreaming, planning, or doing. The outcome is yet to be determined but is in it’s formation.
We’re in control. We don’t realize we’re in control.
Whatever it is that we want to do, just break it down into its simplest form a step by step procedure and begin by taking the first step.
The outcomes are the product of our imagination and our actions which equal the outcome. And there’s points of discouragement along the way. The best way to overcome those discouragements are to keep doing what needs to be done.
We’re in control. Don’t let our imagination run amuck! Keep imagination true to the endeavor. Stay true. You’re no longer dreaming…..you’re living it. And the growing portion is a valuable part of living it.
Michaelangelo said, “The greater danger for most of us lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low, and achieving our mark.”
The outcome is yet to be determined. Aunt Mimi loves you but she thinks you’re nuts to chase a dream……get a regular job she says and raise a family grow old and die like everyone else. Joe your best buddy semi encourages you but he’s actually afraid that you will succeed and leave him behind. Mom and Dad tell you you’re wasting time, you should be more like Joe. There’s more but I think you’re getting the idea. Oh, my favorite……I knew all along you wouldn’t make it, I just didn’t say anything. And these are your friends and relatives.
You and I are in control of our outcomes. Focus on what we want, ignore all the stuff that isn’t what we want on our way to the prize. We’ll make it.
I know that my outcome of my endeavor is within reach……..I just keep doing what needs to be done step by step towards the desired outcome.
Aunt Mimi, Mom, Dad and Joe don’t have the power over my outcome without me allowing them to and that would come by believing their version.
5,127 attempts is what it took for James Dyson to succeed with his vacuum. At what number would you and I have taken our eyes off the mark and ditched everything.
5 years of rejection and 12 publishing rejections before the vision of successful authorship came to fruition for J.K. Rowlings……”Harry Potter” series.
“Failure meant a stripping away of the inessential. I stopped pretending to myself that I was anything other than what I was, and began to direct all my energy into finishing the only work that mattered to me.” — J.K. Rowling
The outcome amidst rejections, setbacks, failures, is still to be determined. For you and I.
What’s the next step? That’s what I need to do? That’s what I need to believe in and that’s where I’ll be!
You and I are in control of our outcomes…….they are determined by us!
Peace, love, and beaches,
