Some People Are Born Professional Worriers
That’s right…..there seems to be people that are ‘professional worriers’, some ‘semi-professional worriers’ and then those……like in every profession, ‘wanna be professional worriers’.
They inhabit all walks of life and none of us, none, are immune to their penetration into our lives.
But we can boot ’em out!
They worry about EVERYTHING!!!! The sun, the moon, the stars, astroids hitting the earth, cloning dinosaur DNA and being eaten by T-Rex, not enough rain, too much rain, their car, paying their bills, the cost of gas, the cost of milk, school for their 2 year old and how to plan their wedding……..should I continue!!!
It seems they have a worry for every aspect of life and every possible solution.
Some people are born professional worriers.
It’s even hard to get a word in edgewise in a conversation as they worry that you may have a moment too much to talk, you may say the wrong thing, or even worse…..you may say the right thing!!!
Sometimes due to the structure of society, these people are unmercifully forced upon us! We have to encounter them at social gatherings that involve our children…..GADS!! We have to encounter them at our spouse or lovers office parties. And we’re warned before hand but think we can handle it for a short bit……but we can’t. We seek out someone to protect us, run some sort of interference…….go hide in the bathroom! Anything to get out of their sight!!
BUT WAIT!!!!! It doesn’t end there!!! They have more worries to worry about! They want to include you and your life in their ‘tyranny of worry’! It’s not enough that they have their own lives in worryland or their families, they NOW want to kidnap your life and rule over it from their throne in worryland!!!!! Oh how wonderful.
You really can’t have a normal conversation. They hijack it with one worry after the next. You listen and you wonder, ‘how did these people make it this far in life’? But then you haven’t given the thought that their worries have dragged them thru.
Heck! If they were to have perished over one of their concerns who would be here now to help carry on the legacy of ‘worry’!!! God forbid that should happen.
More has never been not done than in the life of a worrier. Why even try is their motto. It’s doomed!!!
Some people are professional worriers…….
Do we have them out of necessity, is it mandatory in the manual of life that these creatures suck the life out of us, I mean does some eternal entity assign them to us! Or maybe we tolerate for the entertainment value…….and then realize ‘oh crap’!!!!
How much do we worry unnecessarily? Is there a such thing as necessary worry? I have a thought on that, that I will not share. For now, let’s just ponder the existence of the ‘eternal professional worrier’.
Peace, love, and beaches,
