The Hard Part Is In The Planning
For me it is.
I’m referring to planning my travels. It’s not that I don’t know where I want to go, I do…..but rather how to get there economically, where to stay that’s safe (and economical, but comfortable), and what to see and do.
The complexity is making it economical. To an extent my timing of trips can be very flexible. So, I can take advantage of the seasonal trends in pricing. But ‘dang’……the flights thru Central America are ‘EXPENSIVE’!! Flying to each country seems to be a First Class Flight with economy seating.
I actually have the option of driving, I drove my SUV to the Riviera Maya! And a bit of visiting can be done that way. Belize and Guatemala are easily accessible from the Mexican border. It’s beyond that where the problems lie. The roads are substandard……and possibly don’t exist. There’s more research to be done…..
The Hard Part Is In The Planning!
So, I’m having to dig a little deeper and do some research on this traveling thing….AGAIN!!!
I understand that there are buses that are available for inter-country travels so I’ll look in to those…..but it just brings up the thought of ‘don’t they need roads too?’. As I said…..’research’.
I want to ‘island hop’ the Caribbean…… that’s not likely from what I’m able to gather so that one goes back to the drawing board. It seems all the flights that are priced semi-unreasonable are lengthy as they fly to the states FIRST!!! GADS!!! I briefly looked into regional flights and charters with no satisfaction. I’ll exhaust that venue with determination shortly.
I’ve already got the Panama visit booked. The Peru visit is in the early planning stages but coming together just fine. It’s the ins and outs of this along with planning around family that are scheduling visits here. By the way if you’re just dropping in….here is ‘Puerto Aventuras, Quinatana Roo, Mexico’, The Riviera Maya.
While money really isn’t an obstacle, there’s more traveling to follow…..Eastern Asia seems to be following closely on the heels. So, frugality gets to sit up front on the planning. Yet, I don’t want to leave anything out. It’s the getting there that’s the most expensive.
So for me, The Hard Part Is In The Planning or am I just making it hard.
OH!!!!! MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
Peace, Love, and Beaches,
